Should people who are sentenced to life in prison be allowed the death penalty as an option, and why?

isn't this basically allowing suicide? I'm not saying that's a bad thing, it's just very hard to know what's right.

I have a tag on tumblr, "lesbians unite" just because I was going to tag something "lesbian" and up came the "leeds united" tag and I thought it said "lesbians unite."* I also have a tag, "naomily fans unite" and I think those two are not mutually exclusive all the time.

*I'm writing the punctuation standard now instead of putting the comma outside of the quotation like I used to. I don't want to have bad grammar. But I don't even know where the asterisk is supposed to go. ; ;

So.

I REGISTERED TO VOTE TODAY! It didn't take long at all. It was actually really uneventful.

The woman who helped me had a very small flower tattoo on her hand. I wanted to get a tattoo on my hand a while ago and I wondered if they hurt especially, but we were busy, so I didn't feel like I should ask much. I don't know. I said I liked it and I did like it.

Week after week, I've been seeing the painted toenails of the other ladies in my yoga class. It's been too seasonably warm for my usual argyle socks, so I've been sock-less, too. So I've painted my toenails. it was less of a fiasco than I remember it being. except they kept smudging off.

They mentioned going to a ~salon, but it would be insane for me to do that. insane. they might ask about my fingernails and those can't get any polish on. my fingernails exist for playing guitar and opening things only, they're not for decoration! That seems like a feminist statement, maybe.

I always used to wonder why she was married to him.
And I'd think and I'd think and I'd think and I'd think.
Then I remembered that he sang my favorite songs and remembered EVERYONE said he was super nice.
But still, it's Lynz. She's . . . I don't even know how to say it. really good-looking.
Lol, I was never attracted to Gerard at all. The first time someone said he was hot I was totally baffled. When I saw Frerard, I could sort of agree.

P.S., I found an mcr fan on Tumblr and that's a little rare. I want to add them, but I'm already following like 56 people. So I won't! This feels like an achievement.

Do certain items of clothing remind you of people or events from your past? If so, what garment reminds you of a particularly happy memory?
Fuck's sake. I'm a DOG. I don't like wearing clothing. >.<

I recently (I think it was March 18th) started looking at Fuckyeahnaomily and saving all the pictures. There are 38 pages (as of today) and I saved almost every picture. And I kept looking for more pictures. Maybe 5 days ago, I started looking at the urls of naomily gifs and the ones from Rintin.com were numbered. LIke, I started at 230 or something. Actually, it was probably this one. I went down to gif_001, and then up to gif_334, which is as high as they go. So I had over four hundred pictures saved to my computer from a show I didn't even watch. Yes, I didn't even watch Skins. That's what makes this obsession so weird. The folder was over 700 MB because of all the gifs. That's bigger than my AFP pictures folder. I'm following at least 7 Naomily-related Tumblogs. That's out of 25 tumblogs. So there's mostly naomily pictures on my dash every day. I Uploaded all my gifs online because I felt so weird about fucking hording them. And if I keep going at this pace, I'm afraid I'll use up all the space on my computer. (That probably wouldn't happen, btw.) I didn't think anyone would be interested in the zip file of gifs, but the post got lots of likes and reblogs quickly. Like, the quickest I've ever got that many likes and relblogs. And I'm into the fandom here. I looked at my girlfriend's naomily related comms and am watching some. It was this post that made me realize I should probably watch the goddamn show that produced my obsession. I like it. I watched the first and second episode of the third series. I'm going to watch the third episode tonight.
That's my story. My obsession story.

My girlfriend came over for the last 3 days or her spring break. We went to a movie and listened to music and she fell asleep and I smelled her and I cried too much because I'm fucked in the head and we watched a couple other movies and went to a Tegan and Sara show (it felt like everyone was gay there, which was pretty awesome) and we had a few kisses I didn't butcher.

First: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new question.
Second: Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you

Amanda Palmer, Elvis (both), Paul McCartney, Amanda Peet, Gloria Estefan, Leslie Gore, Tim Gunn

Lots of pillows or just one?
lots. well, two.

What kind of books do you read?
Novels are my favorite.

What's the weidest thing you've seen today?
A girl in a Muse shirt eating popcorn in a fancy old theater. There was a mirror there.

ZOMBIES OR ROBOTS: Which apocalypse is less survivable?
God, what if they both happened at the same time? The zombies wouldn't bother the robots at all 'cause robots aren't alive. And robots are so creepy and strong. That'd be worse than daleks and cybermen. Cybermen are fucking annoying and daleks are terrifying. Holy digression, batman. Um. Robots could be harder.

What's really creepy?
hallways. especially dark ones.

What's your current favorite color?
Greens and indigo. but I don't like the name "indigo" so I call it bluish purple.

Cake or Death?
Cake? I feel like there's something wrong with the cake. Is there cat hair in the cake?

What websites do you always visit when you go online?
tumblr

What was the last thing you bought?
Muse shirt.

How do you think you'll die?
I don't know. Lightning.

Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
eh. pancakes.

What do you do to change your mood?
I juggle flaming things.

What is your zodiac sign?
leo.

Do you want to learn another language?
yes.

Five things you can't live without.
1) music
2) the interwebs
3) the girl
4) books
5) soap

Find the closest book currently sitting near you and flip to page 54. What is the first sentence of the second paragraph?
A contagious childhood disease characterized by fever and skin eruptions.

What color are your socks?
blue, mostly.

What are you looking forward to?
spring break.

People keep saying this song was about cheating. I don't understand why. There's nothing to prove it to be so.

I love music because a song can be interpreted however the listener wants and no one is wrong. No one looks stupid for thinking the meaning is wrong because each meaning exists for the listener and their own experience of the music.
Probably some people can relate to that song better by thinking it's about cheating. Not me and even if it is about that, I still don't have to think it is.

If your best friend asked you OR your partner to help you conceive a child, would you consider it? How do you think it would affect your friendship and your relationship?
I'd ask if they considered adoption and then most likely say yes. Only if artificial insemination.

So I've started on a long of entries meant for LJ. Ones talking about coming out to my mother and a fic (I'll probably post that in a comm for that pairing) and other gay stuff. It's all gay stuff. I just realized.
I really like not being closeted anymore, but I'm disappointed at how much my mom avoids saying I have a girlfriend. Well, at least she didn't throw me out of the house. I didn't think she would, you just get scared having such a big secret like that. Secret? Yeah.

So, I haven't been reading my flist lately. Somebody at a comm was an asshole and put cuts lined up which stretched the page. That's my nails on a chalkboard. For some reason, it just irritates me. I know everyone doesn't feel that way, so I don't always mention it. I should have stopped watching that comm for a few days. Oh well.

I love how loud Dresden Dolls songs get after being so quiet for a while. EXPLOSIVE!!

My mom and I recently went to the Chicago Botanic Garden. She wanted to find out what was going on with the tree in front of our house -- it'll probably die within a year -- and parking there costs money, so I came along and we had a good time.

We went on the cold but interesting and fun tram ride around the whole gardens. Then we had lunch (though it wasn't quite lunchtime) in their Café. Then we saw their greenhouses. Those are always neat because of the tropical plants I wouldn't otherwise see due to the climate here being . . . not tropical. (: So, then on our way out, someone asked if we wanted orchids -- can you believe that?! We assumed there must have been a flower show or contest of some kind. And we got orchids! Here's a picture:

My mom piled them on the scanner, you see. Aren't they pretty?
***

In other news, I've been trying (kind of) to be more productive and useful, just in general. I don't know if posting on LJ is helping that. . . .

Do you think men or women are more likely to cheat if they know they won't get caught? Do you believe in marriage?
Monogamy pwns. I have no idea who'd be more likely to cheat. It depends on the individual.

Erm.

Oh, dear. I thought I'd gotten further than that!! (I had it save my draft.) Well. I haven't. So I have textures.

Oh. Upon choosing my mood, I remembered that I want to finish uploading that new mood theme lookslikerain made. I like it a little better than my current one and . . . oh, I think I forgot to comment her. I'll remember later. I'm only doing nothing now, but I'll still put it off. I'm a hardcore procrastinator.

I feel like writing an LJ post and one of the things I like about LJ is interests. I have 56 of them.

Related to graphic-making (which I originally came to LJ for): 100x100, avatars, clouds1, free fonts,g imp, graphics, icon, icon making, icon textures, icon tutorials, icons, images, learning2, livejournal icons, lj icons, making icons, stock icons, textures, the gimp, userpics, women3.

Then there's the other stuff.
Musicians I like: amanda, amanda palmer, bob bryar, frank iero, gerard way, mikey way, ray toro.
Yeah, just from The Dresden Dolls and MCR. They're all I post graphics of, so. And I don't have Brian Viglione cuz I don't know him as well. Sorry, mister man.

I haven't used footnotes pretty much ever. Do they go on the outside of punctuation? I just don't know.

I'm omitting the boring ones. Like animals. And music and sleeping.

So, "animals in the shower." Sometimes I add ones that only one other user has. So that we have something in common. Sometimes I don't even know the user. "bunnies." I have 2 of them. I had another. I know about them because I read books and I can usually answer questions people have about them. "dictionaries." I think my favorite kind of books are dictionaries, seriously. I learned how to spell when I was 13 because I had dictionaries and I . . . I think I'm going on too much. They mean a lot to me. <3
"domesticating sasquach." Another user had it . . . "imagine me & you" I do. I think about you day and night. I saw a lot of Tegan & Sara fans with that. I know that phrase from that song by the Turtles, "Happy Together" and I'm too lazy to see if Tegan & Sara remade that. I could ask Tara tomorrow. Or she could tell me here. Tomorrow. Flist, baby. "lost dog posters." They're cool. And only another user used it. For the sake of being interesting. Hey, I think that's the verb of adding interests. Anyway.
"minesweeper." Yeah, more of an addiction. "ribbons." I love rolling ribbons up and when I put ribbons in my hair, other people seem to like it. Hmm, I thought idrnkyrmlkshk had"rock and trippy shit" but her friend who I don't know well does. Oh, and Rorschach = Walter Kovacs = "sandwich board man." From watchmen_lulz' interests.

So, I hope you got some enjoyment out of this. I'm learning how to blog. Slowly. Does that make me sound old?

PS: Be sure to read the footnotes. :)

1I like to put cloudy textures in my graphics, plus, clouds are just awesome.
2Like icon tuts.
3I like looking at women and making their pictures look pretty.

I'm just trying to figure out my life and balancing what I want to do and what I need to do during the day.
I haven't been making many graphics at all, but I made over 10 textures a few days ago. So I'll post those whenever I get around to it. Sooner if I get encouragement.

Maybe I'll start using this primarilly as a blog and for graphics just occasionally. I like when bands blog and I want to be in a band, so I should learn to blog about my life. I wonder if I'll want to delete these accounts I have now if I get sorta well-known. I don't even know if that'd be a bad thing. Hmm.
I know it sounds rather conceited to talk about having success, but . . . I don't know, isn't it better than putting myself down? Sometimes there's no middle ground with me.

I have a Dreamwidth account. I'm posting creative writing there. Really only prose. Not stories either. I don't like to catagorize it.
I don't go on there often. I would if I had more friends there. Wanna join, anyone? I have an invite code or two. It's like LJ but no ads and less populated and a bit exclusive.

Now I'm listening to music just so my Last.FM account can fill it into the music field of this entry automatically.
Hey, What if it could detect my mood? Then it would be a sci fi movie.
